Actiongrams

In the early days of working with volumetric we tried a bunch of different scenarios (and for a good period of time, we focused deeply on telepresence, which we came back to over the last couple of years), trying to find our way within the HoloLens program. Actiongrams was led by our former executive producer, and their team kept the stage filled with all sorts of weird and interesting performers, which helped us to learn a tremendous amount of what worked, what didn’t, and how to make good compromises.

I was active as a creative lead early on when our teams were effectively intertwined for a little over a year, but as things formed up, they found their own way, and produced a really fun product. For the most part, I acted as creative technical liaison, on set for every production, working with the Actiongrams production team to ensure they got the best visual quality possible from the technology.

The work we did during these times defined the program and contributed to our ability to scale. For me personally, our work with the AG team helped build my film and video production skillset.
