Awake

When our group came out of stealth in 2017 and began offering volumetric capture services on a per client basis, we were approached by a group out of Australia with an incredibly interesting and complex VR project. We took it on, knowing that it would be a learning experience for all of us.

My role on the project was as the creative liaison to the development team, working closely with the Awake team during pre-production, during every minute of production during capture, and then as the quality control lead during processing.

As the creative liaison, my role was to help broker creative intent with what was technically possible, and then to ultimately ensure that we delivered the highest quality usable results possible. Pre-production was fundamental to that process, ensuring that potential mistakes on set were avoided before it became too late.

Like every project you’ll see here, the results are entirely due to the efforts and work of the development teams involved. I think it’s fair though to say that my involvement helped to deliver the best possible results that we were capable of.
